- Door only closes while you hold the wall button
- Sensor light blinking or off
- Opener light flashes when closing
- Remote works only up close
- Keypad does not respond
- Wall button works but the remote does not

Quick Checks Before You Call
Wipe both sensor lenses with a soft cloth and make sure nothing is in the path: a broom, a trash bin or a spider web will do it. Check that both small lights on the sensors are solid. Replace the remote battery.
If the door still will not close, call us. Sensor wires on the floor get stepped on and chewed, brackets get knocked out of line and older sensors fail. We align, rewire or replace them and test the auto-reverse.

Sensor & Remote FAQs
The sensors may look fine but be slightly out of line, have a dirty lens or a damaged wire. Sun shining straight into a receiving sensor can also confuse it on late afternoons. If the door closes while you hold the wall button, the sensors are almost always the cause.
A blinking or off light on one sensor usually means the two eyes are not seeing each other because of misalignment, a blocked or dirty lens, or a wiring fault.
Yes, you can try. Clean the lenses and gently adjust the bracket until both lights are solid. If they will not stay lit, a wire or sensor has probably failed.
Usually a dead battery, a remote that lost its programming, or an older remote that is not compatible with a newer opener. A failing receiver in the opener is less common.
Yes. We program compatible remotes, wireless keypads and car systems such as HomeLink, and replace worn wall buttons.
